The Alliance Française de Geelong has arranged to screen a range of French films in Geelong in conjunction with the Village Cinema in Ryrie Street, Geelong.

They list our French films a month in advance. You can therefore book your tickets up to a month before the film is shown: Geelong Village Cinema Website.

3 Sessions

There are 3 sessions on the first weekend of each month:

  • Saturday 4 pm,
  • Sunday 4 pm and
  • Monday 4 pm (outside school holidays).

All French films have subtitles in English for all to enjoy!

Mini Classic French Film Festival 2026
Sat 14 & Sat 21 March

Join Alliance Française de Geelong for the screening of two Modern Classic French Films over consecutive Saturday evenings under the stars at The Heights, Newtown.

  • The quirky ‘Amélie’ will be screened on Saturday 14 March, and
  • the heart-warming family favourite, ‘Belle et Sébastien’ screened on Saturday 21 March.

Bring along a picnic to enjoy on the lawn before the movie! Chairs and picnic rugs will be provided. Soft drinks, wine and snacks available for purchase throughout the evening.
